Larry Ronald Hoyt of Lake Street passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 74.

Born on June 19, 1938 in Poultney, VT, son of the late Wilson Rodger and Florence H. (Greene) Hoyt. He is the husband of Joan (Tinney) Hoyt whom he married on June 24, 1962.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, he then reenlisted in the Air National Guard of New York. Mr. Hoyt owned and operated Stillwater Hardware for 16 years. He also worked as Seafood and Meat Manager for Hannaford Brothers as well as a Programmer for Price Chopper where they still implement his programs to this day. He is also a member of the Earl J. Manning Post 490 American Legion, Stillwater.

Survivors in addition to his wife Joan include their children, Kevin (Katrina) Hoyt of Jackson, TN, Christine (Robert) Zakrzewski, Melissa (Brian) Morin and Stephen (Nicole) Hoyt all of Stillwater, grandchildren, Colleen (Kevin) Hasselbach, Courtney Balfe, Sean Hoyt, Michael Palmieri, James Palmieri, Rachel Morin, Natalie Hoyt and Joshua Hoyt. One great grandchild, Molly Hasselback, his siblings, Roger (Sharon) Hoyt of ME and Carol Lull of Niskayuna and his brother-in-law John(Alicia)Tinney of Owego. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Larry is predeceased by his brother, Richard Hoyt.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8pm on Thursday, January 31 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11am on Friday at All Saints on the Hudson Church, North, 895 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Burial with military honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
