Barth G. Smith

Barth G. Smith 51 of Lilac Lane Troy, died Friday September 4th at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness. Born in Troy NY September 23, 1956 Son of Gordon & Phyllis Smith. 

A graduate of Hoosic Valley High School, He was a self employed Handyman and construction worker. A member of the VFW Post  in Poestenkill, NY. 

Survivors in addition to his parents include a daughter Brittany, a very special friend Gayle  of Melrose, siblings: Rupert (Lynn) Smith of Melrose, Charlotte (Don) Spain of Pittstown. Also survived by several Nieces & Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins. 

Predeceased by a brother Darryl H. Smith. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Chase Funeral Home 173 Main Street Schaghticoke, Sunday from 2 – 5 PM..  a funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM with the Rev. Clyde McCaskill officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Avenue, Albany, NY, 12211 in  his memory.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Regina Resta, and her staff for all their services and support.
